Program and content

From the beach in Harderwijk, you paddle to Knarland, an island for nature lovers. This island offers shelter from the wind and waves of the Wolderwijd, is beautifully vegetated, and has a sandy plain in the middle reminiscent of the Wadden Islands. The Wolderwijd is one of the marginal lakes between Gelderland and Flevoland, formed in 1967 during the reclamation of South Flevoland, and flows into the Veluwemeer and the Nuldernauw.

Who is this route suitable for?

This route crosses large lakes and open water, and is therefore not suitable for beginner SUPpers. Be prepared for currents, wind, and unexpected weather conditions. However, a tour with an experienced instructor can be booked as an alternative to paddling on your own.
