Visit the historic forge at the shipyard during Open Monument Day! Discover how botter parts were forged and watch live demonstrations.
During this Open Monument Day, the shipyard is open to the public. A forge was opened at the Oost shipyard in 1911, which manufactured parts for the botters, among other things. This forge is still regularly used and can be visited. There are various activities at the Historic Harbour Quarter, including at the blacksmith's, who provides explanations.
