Visit the historic forge at the shipyard during Open Monument Day! View traditional wrought ironwork, discover the history of the botter, and talk to the blacksmith.
During this Open Monument Day, the shipyard will be open to the public. A forge was opened at the Oost shipyard in 1911, which manufactured parts for the botters, among other things. This forge is still regularly used and can be visited. On Saturday, September 12, there will be various activities at the Historisch Havenkwartier, including at the blacksmith's, who will provide explanations. See Historisch Havenkwartier.
