Discover the Old Town Hall: a national monument with a beautiful Council Chamber from 1727, gilded leather wallpaper, and historic paintings. Visit it during Open Monument Day!

The Tourist Information Office is located in the Old Town Hall. Throughout the year, the Council Chamber in the Old Town Hall can only be visited during a city walk. During this Open Monument Day, the Council Chamber is open and a city guide is present. The council chamber dates from 1727. The walls are covered with gold leather wallpaper. The ceiling is adorned with allegorical paintings. Three equestrian portraits of Prince William of Orange, Prince Maurice, and Prince Frederick Henry grace the wall. The painter is Isac Isacsen.
