De Kleine Zwaan is located on Lake Drontermeer, approximately halfway between Roggebotsluis and Elburg. A small-scale mooring where you can enjoy the nature around you.
The name refers to the Bewick’s swan, a winter visitor that migrates to the Netherlands from the north. During the winter, hundreds of thousands of these swans stay in our country. They depend on quiet, water-rich areas with sufficient food. This makes the Randmeren an important habitat.
The island belongs to Dronten, which is located about 13 kilometers away. The nearest town is the fortified city of Elburg, about 5 kilometers away by boat. 2 kilometers to the north, you will find beach pavilion At Sea.
