On Saturday, June 13, Haal-op-gelijk-in-Harderwijk, a spectacular sloop rowing race in and around Harderwijk, is on the program during the Aaltjesdagen.
The first sloop will start the race at 12:00 PM, followed by the remaining forty participating sloops one by one. All sloops will navigate a course across the Wolderwijd, the Veluwemeer, and pass through the city harbor multiple times. The narrow bridges and the busy traffic in Harderwijk present a challenge every year. After approximately 13 kilometers (one and a half to two hours), the sloops will finish at the Boulevard.
The race can be easily followed from the quays, bridges, and jetties in Harderwijk.
