The Noordwest-Veluwe Art Route is an annual regional art route where more than fifty artists open their studios and galleries to the public. During the Harderwijk and Ermelo weekend of the 23rd edition, visitors meet local artists in their own working environments and view paintings, sculptures, ceramics, photography, and more.
Art and craft on the Veluwe for twenty-three years
The Noordwest-Veluwe Art Route is organized by the KunstKring Noordwest-Veluwe Foundation and has now reached its twenty-three editions. The route extends across the entire region and is divided over two weekends: the first weekend in Wezep, Nunspeet, Hulshorst, Vierhouten, Elspeet, and Oldebroek, and the second weekend specifically in Harderwijk and Ermelo. This setup ensures that visitors can focus on a manageable part of the region each weekend.
Artists speak in their own studios
Along the route, artists open their studios and galleries to the public and speak personally about their work, techniques, and materials. Disciplines vary widely, from painting and sculpture to ceramics, photography, jewelry, textile art, metal art, and drawings. The route offers a unique opportunity to follow the creation of a work of art up close and to engage in conversation with the maker. Many of the exhibited works are also for sale or available on commission.
Two days full of discoveries
Visitors follow the route on foot, by bike, or by car past the participating addresses in Harderwijk and Ermelo. All locations are open on both days, allowing ample time to visit multiple studios and discover the creative diversity of the region.
